The effect of six different sowing dates, i.e. April 10th and 25th, May 10th and 25th, and June 10th and 25th, on the yield of ‘Lord F1’ broccoli heads was assessed. It was found that a significantly higher marketable yield of the main heads of broccoli was obtained when the seed was sown on May 25th, on June 10th and 25th, in comparison with the yield when the seed was sown on April 10th and 25th. Also, the main heads had a greater weight and diameter. As for the secondary heads of broccoli, the best production results and more robust heads were obtained when the seed was sown on June 10th.
