At the Wilanów Experimental Station, in Central Poland, eight most common M.9 subclones were compared (EMLA, RN29, 751, 984, T337, T339, Pajam 1, and Pajam 2). The performance of M.9 subclones was assessed in the nursery and in the orchard. No considerable differences were found between them. Maiden tree diameter and height did not differ significantly but results were inconsistent in three trials. Moreover orchard performance i.e. tree vigour, yield per tree and CEC, did not depend on the subclone.
