Cyclamen persicum Mill. cvs. ‘Kleine Dresdnerin’ and ‘Pastel Gemengd’ was sprayed once with gibberellic acid when flower buds were visible as "pin heads" and 2 weeks later in order to accelerate flowering. Treatment with GA3 at 10-25 mg dm-3 accelerated flowering, resulted in more flowers being open at one time, and increased plant height of both cultivars. GA3 at 50 mg dm-3 caused excessive elongation and bending of floral scapes. Application of GA3 when flower buds are 1.2-1.8 mm long is recommended.
