The effect of NPK fertilization on chlorophyll, sugars, ascorbic acid content and activity of catalase and peroxidase in leaf parsley

The effect of the N, P, K suuply on the concentration of total chlorophyll, sugars, ascorbic acid, and the activity of peroxidase [EC 1.11.1.7] and catalase [EC 1.11.1.6] in leaf parsley were investigated by pot experiments. It was observed that the fertilizers which were used in the tests, caused changes in the biochemical composition in the parsley during its growth. The results of the studies also indicate an interdependence between the dosage of nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium and the catalytic activity of enzymes.
