Propagation of black currant cv. Titania in sterile cultures

The experiments conducted showed that the possibility exists for successful propagation of the black currant in sterile cultures. The best results were obtained on the medium: MS + 2Fe + vitamins + 0.1 mg/dm3 IBA + 1.0 mg/dm3 BA + 30 g/dm3 sucrose. As was found in the experiments, the addition of adenine sulphate (SA) to the MS medium and a double amount of iron gives a high multiplication with an increased amount of high plants suitable for rooting.
