An investigation of side effects of Funaben T and Zaprawa nasienna T on the mitotic process was carried out in meristematic cells of pea roots. The investigated seed dressing preparations, applied according to recommendations for practice, neither decreased the division activity of cells nor modified the phase index. In the material treated with seed dressing preparations an increase in the number of disturbances was noted, though their number was small (up to 2%). Lagging chromosomes, anaphase bridges, and micronuclei were most frequently observed.
