Emergence and the conductometric test for single seed peas

The use of the conductometric test to evaluate the vigour of seed peas is
deceptive. The present authors studied point out a potentially incorrect
interpretation of the conductometric results, since the magnitude of
electrolyte leakage from single seed peas fails to correlate with their
growth potential. Moreover, it is impossible to find out the seed capacity
for developing plants on the basis of electroconductivity of aqueous
extracts from single seeds.
