In the years 1974-1990 an experiment was carried out with the aim of studing 3 apple cultivars on interstocks Antonowka and Hibernal. Jonagold was the most promising cultivar because of the large and beautiful fruits and a yield as good as Golden Delicious. This cultivar can be recommended for commercial orchards. Honeygold had the highest crop efficiency index, but its fruits were smaller and more easily damaged during transportation than those of Jonagold. Cumulative total yields form the years 1981-1990 were as follows: Golden Delicious - 175.1 T/ha; Jonagold - 172.9 T/ha; Honeygold - 170.1 T/ha.
