In the period 1974-1990 an experiment was carried out with the aim of investigating 4 apple cultivars on interstocks ‘Antonówka’ and ‘Hibernal’. ‘Lobo’ was the most vigorous cultivar, followed by ‘Slava Pobieditelam’, ‘Holiday’, and ‘©ampion’. ‘©ampion’ and ‘Lobo’ first began to bear in the third year after top-working. The cumulative total yield from the 1981-1990 was as follows: ‘©ampion’ - 206.7 T/ha, ‘Lobo’ - 142.7 T/ha, ‘Holiday’ - 140.9 T/ha, and ‘Slava Pobieditelam’ - 128.5 T/ha. However, ‘©ampion’ had the lowest mean weight of fruit and was the most sensitive to winter frost.
